The Department for Education guidance for the full reopening of schools in September 2020 has just been published and we are now busily working through every detail so we can formulate a safe, comprehensive and of course, fully compliant plan of action. We cannot wait to see ALL your smiling faces again and we will provide details for the start of the academic year just as soon as we can. Please bear with us just a little longer! Thank you as ever for your patience and support.

School Lunches

Please find below a Q&Q for parents regarding the Edenred Voucher Scheme.  We hope that this will answer any queries that you may have.
Please find attached the updated information regarding Free School Meals issued on Monday 6th April 2020.

Universal Free School Meals

All pupils in EYFS (Reception), Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school dinner under the Government scheme known as Universal Free School Meals.
Of course, you can choose to provide you child with a packed lunch should you wish. Please note that Bude Primary Academy is a nut free school so please ensure that your child's packed lunch do not contain nuts.
We are also a 'healthy school'. Our Sport Coach works closely with our catering team to ensure that we adhere to all the healthy school regulations. For more information on 'healthy schools' please see our Sports pages.

Free School Meals & Pupil Premium

Not to be confused with the Universal Free School Meals above, it is vital that all pupils (EYFS to Year 6) who are eligible to claim 'Free School Meals' are registered in order for schools to receive their Pupil Premium funding.

The 'Free Schools Meals Application Form' can be downloaded and completed by hand or can be completed online via the Cornwall Council website. Links to both can be found on the top right hand side of this page. For more information on Pupil Premium please see the Pupil Premium page on this website.

Pupil Premium funding is funding given to the school from the Government to help those children who are eligible. This funding goes straight to your child's education and is audited to ensure that you child is benefiting from it. We ask that unless you are 100% sure that you do not qualify, you complete a form. This funding is vital for your child but we cannot access it unless you claim it.
