The Department for Education guidance for the full reopening of schools in September 2020 has just been published and we are now busily working through every detail so we can formulate a safe, comprehensive and of course, fully compliant plan of action. We cannot wait to see ALL your smiling faces again and we will provide details for the start of the academic year just as soon as we can. Please bear with us just a little longer! Thank you as ever for your patience and support.

Curriculum Overview 2019-2020

We adopted Cornerstones Maestro in March 2020 to support our knowledge-based approach to curriculum planning. Learning projects are planned sequentially to give children the maximum opportunity for knowledge retrieval. We have the freedom to choose from a wide variety of projects as well as to adapt them or create our own. This ensures we are building a curriculum to meet our children's needs in our particular context and can follow their interests. We aim to provide a balanced approach to the acquisition of knowledge that includes subject-based and cross-curricular skills.
We are still designing our own long-term plan but you can see an example of a single-age Cornerstones curriculum design attached to this page.
