Welcome back everyone! Hope you have had a lovely half term

Year 3 - Blackrock

Mrs Kington

Class Teacher

Mrs Wickett

We are so proud of you all for an enthusiastic return to school. This term we are writers, mathematicians, physicists, engineers, musicians and artists in the exploration of our topic Mighty Metals.
Reading Journals - At the front of the journal is a 'Autumn Term Reading Challenge' which the children have until Christmas to complete.  At the back of the reading journal, you will find a sheet to record home reading and another for bedtime reading.  (The expectation for home reading is that all children read daily.)  The bedtime read is once a week and should be a picture book that you share with your child.
Homework - Once every 2 weeks, your child will bring home some maths fluency sheets (number facts). These are quick to do and just need your child to verbally answer maths questions. The first sheets will be the times tables your child is currently learning. We use these in school so they know what to do!
Please could I remind you to send your child with a water bottle and their reading book/journal everyday.  They also need a coat for outdoor learning!
Please contact me if you have any questions or anything you would like to discuss.
PE is on a Monday so please ensure that your child comes to school in their PE kit on that day.
