Ethos, Aims & Values

In September 2016, Bude Infant School and Bude Junior School federated to become Bude Primary Federation. This strategic, collaborative move saw both schools share the same Senior Leadership Team and same Governing Body for the first time.

The aim of Bude Primary Federation was to move forward with a positive, consistent approach to education, behaviour and to support pupils in all aspects of school life.  The Federation strongly believed in a 'whole federation' approach that embraced opportunities for pupils to develop a positive sense of self through their learning whilst fostering strong trusting relationships with staff and peers.  The Federation promoted a culture of praise and encouragement that rewarded achievement and examples of good behaviour whilst dealing consistently and robustly with inappropriate behaviour, working closely with our community partnerships, multi-professional teams and utilising our own in-house practitioners.

On 1st July 2018, Bude Primary Federation joined Aspire Multi Academy Trust, became Bude Primary Academy and a new era of school improvement, support and growth began.

Our vision for Bude Primary Academy is:

To be a centre of excellence for teaching and learning for all. We will aim to create an environment that is safe and that enhances and develops children’s desire to learn and to equip them for their future.

Bude Primary Academy will recognise children’s individual needs and abilities,  they will be nurtured and their successes acknowledged.

Bude Primary Academy pupils are happy, confident and successful in their own right, celebrated and secure in the knowledge that they are valued and listened to, where they can be excited and challenged in an environment that promotes learning at all levels.
